Grumpy old SpaceBats
“Grumpy old men ” is on the television at the moment - halfway through watching it, WordPress managed to eat my post about the synchronicity about today being the feast days of St Simeon Stylites (the pillar sitter) and John Neumann who, but for a “von”, could have been one of the godfathers of digital computing rather than the 4th Bishop of Philadelphia. These were of interest because I have been searching for a poem about St Simeon after balancing Zippy on a torchiere and receiving an “unsolicited commercial email” from someone going by the online nomenclature of “John Neumann” offering me wealth beyond measure for little effort. Such words of wisdom that I first wrote have now vanished into the ether, which is probably a good thing.
And now - the “10 O’Clock News’ - Israel are still bombing seven shades of everything out of Gaza - “Not In My Name, Ehud!” - and the Government and Conservative Opposition are finding ever new ways of separating people from their monies and freedoms. No wonder there is a rise in anti-Semitism and a drift towards extremism amongst the mass of people who see themselves as a forgotten underclass.
All of these are strongly to be resisted; the only viable option is for the formation of a new Workers’ Party: http://www.cnwp.org.uk/ - an alliance (which is good, rather than factional) of Left Wing parties (also good) - an initiative of the Socialist Party of England and Wales (formerly the Militant tendency.) They have a Declaration which I think is vital to be signed, available at: http://www.cnwp.org.uk/declaration.htm
And another thing - an order that I placed before Christmas has finally been confirmed, after having to contact the company concerned, giving me a “tracking number” for my purchase; a number that can only be tracked through the Royal Mail “once the item has been delivered.” A tiny qualm in comparison, but - in mine eyes - one small further indication that certain priorities need reappraising.

Need to start writing - have much of the material- Get exhibited,
Need to decide if hanging fee of £75 is worth it, given low price of paintings - that, or value them higher.- Get rich(er) &/or better, and
See above - plus pursuing development of websites and increased interaction with the outside world.- Get out of the United Kingdom before the Olympics
Further work on enhancing living space to make more attractive to others as well as more tolerable for us.Probably a B+ so far: “good, but could try harder and do better”
