Another Borderline day - not a bad one, actually.

A mixed day, but a positive one overall.  The day started well with the wardrobe that we erected yesterday still standing, despite the keenest depredations of the cats overnight. We went out, gladdened by the fact that the public transport infrastructure had survived the recent onslaught by literally inches of snow.  My bank, alas, is not so resilient, now not opening until 1000hrs. Fortunately, I had enough funds to hand for my journeys and incidental expenses, so undeterred I sallied forth, launching myself on a slightly suspecting world.

The purpose of my quest was only partially fulfilled, but I realised when I was approaching the point of diminishing returns when no matter how much more effort I expended, there was no possible way to achieve all that was required in the maximum possible time remaining, so I planned my exit, withdrawal and later return to complete.  Other interactions later that day were also conducted within the reasonably broad bounds of normality.

Later communications from others, I recognised as potentially triggering and dealt with them as calmly as possible, certain in the knowledge that, threatening as they might seem, they were in fact perfectly ordinary requests that quite normal people make of each other with little concern.  In the aim to be a reasonably normal person, I reacted as appropriately as possible; although it was not my first instinct, I was able to hold my less enlightened reactions in check.

Despite all the minute privations set against the accomplishment of my day’s missions, I feel that I did pretty well in coping with them, realising that they were not deliberately put in place solely and actively to make my life less tolerable.  Which is nice.
