“Ruby’s Room” on the Beeb
Another useful resource has found its way to my inbox: the BBC “Headroom”, where one can unwind one’s mind. I came to the site via my usual band of googlebots trawling the Web for things of interest, stumbling upon “Ruby’s Room” where Rubt Wax talks about BPD and interviews “Kate” about her view of the disorder. The description of BPD as having similarities to a form of “emotional dyslexia” was quite fascinating and I must admit that I actually watched the videoclip all the way through, which at nearly 6 minutes long was an extreme act of concentration on my part.
The “moodscape” feature of the site is quite fascinating although rather limited, as I find that it cannot contain all that goes through my head in any 30 seconds; here’s a brief snapshot: http://www.bbc.co.uk/headroom/moodscape/view/7frscl
The site has a wide range of features and is definitely worth exploring; meanwhile, here’s Ruby …
